Maria Grazia SURACE est née à Turin, où elle a fait ses études d’art (Liceo Artistico et Accademia di
belle Arti) et architecture.
Son sujet préféré ont toujours été les corps ,
dont la représentation, au fil du temps, dépasse la narration.
Ainsi a écrit Tea Taramino,
artiste turinoise, au sujet de ses œuvres :
« ses corps évoquent des intenses émotions, intraduisibles, délibérément
mystérieuses.
Des présences corporelles, à la fois palpables et insaisissables, parfois
ambiguës, proposent un dialogue subtil, à la frontière entre le connu et
l’inconnu, qui se développe dans le temps au travers d’un ample registre qui
s’étend depuis une ironie estompée au sentiment du drame. »

Le Museo dell’Illustrazione

années 2000 et 2001. Elle expose régulièrement en Italie, en France, en
Suisse, en Allemagne, en Belgique, au Luxembourg, en Hollande, dans les plus
importants Salons d’art contemporain. |

Maria Grazia SURACE é nata a Torino, dove ha fatto i suoi studi d’arte (Liceo Artistico e Accademia di Belle Arti) e architettura.
Il suo soggetto preferito é sempre stato il corpo umano la cui rappresentazione, nel corso del tempo, supera la narrazione.
Cosi ha scritto Tea Taramino, artista torinese, a proposito delle sue opere:
“i corpi di Maria Grazia Surace evocano intense emozioni, intraducibili, deliberatamente misteriose. Presenze corporee, a volte palpabili, a
volte appena percettibili, talvolta ambigue, propongono un sottile dialogo, alla frontiera tra conscio e inconscio, che si sviluppa attraverso un ampio registro che passa dall’ironia sfumata al sentimento del dramma.”
Il Museo dell’Illustrazione Contemporanea di Bronzolo ed il Museo dell’Automobile di Torino hanno acquisito tre delle sue opere nel 2000 e nel 2001.
Maria Grazia Surace espone regolarmente in Italia, in Francia,
in Svizzera, in Germania, in Belgio,
in Olanda, in Lussemburgo, nei più importanti saloni d’arte contemporanea.

Maria Grazia SURACE was born in turin, were she was trained as
an architect and were she studied art at the Liceo Artistico and the Accademia di
Belle Arti.
Since ever, her ideal subjet is the human body and
over time its representation in her art production has gone beyond a simple
narrative status.
Tea Taramino, a wellknown artist of Turin, wrote about her art work: “her bodies elicit strong feeling
that cannot be translated because deliberately mysterious. These bodily
presences –sometimes tangobles, sometimes indistinguishables, sometimes ambiguouses – start off a subtle dialogue, which
border the unconscious, developing along a wide range of human affects, from
a tempered sense of humour to a dramatic tension.”
Her pieces have been
acquired by the Museo dell’Illustrazione Contemporanea of Bronzolo,
by the Museo dell’Automobile of Turin and by several private collections.
Since 1970, when she began her exhibitions, her works are been featured in
many cities in Italy as well as in France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland,
Luxembourg, The Netherlands. Actually she exhibits her works in the most
important international contemporary art exhibitions.
